Besides all the cool art inside Da Bakery @ 1700 Southern Blvd in the Bronx, there's always something happening in the back. I came upon this earlier in the week. I love it!

Found in Spare2's Black Book
I met Spare2, a ninth grader at the High School of Art and Design, up at Da Bakery in the Bronx last night. I love meeting young, cool graffiti aficionados. At times like this, I miss teaching high school! Anyway, thanks, Spare2, for sharing your black book and all its great tags with me.

In the Bronx
Walking along Southern Blvd this afternoon, I saw more tags, throw-ups and bombs than I've seen just about anywhere else. Despite massive urban renewal, scenes like this -- reminiscent of some I recently saw in the non-gentrified sections of Bed-Stuy -- remain.
